Santa did come to town.

The parade, viewed by hundreds of spectators, concluded at Hall Street Plaza where Santa and Mrs. Claus met with children before heading back to the North Pole to fulfill a few requests before heading out on Christmas Eve to deliver presents.

Some of the other groups in the parade, led the the Kootenay Kiltie Pipe Band, included the Nelson Rhythm Ropers, Dance Umbrella as well as members of the Nelson Police Department, Nelson Fire Rescue and North Shore Fire Department.
