Crispin/Hartridge team capture Tournament of Roses

Roma Crispin and Sherry Hartridge combined for a 79 to capture the low gross honours at the 2014 Tournament of Roses Ladies Golf event Saturday at the Granite Pointe at Nelson course.
The Crispin/Hartridge tag team edged out Tammy Avis and Sherry McIvor for the top prize in the Low Gross category.
Sandra Roy and Maureen Crawford carded a score of 59 to claim the Low Net trophy.
Lynne Foster and Shirley Wolbaum fired a score of 66 to finish second to the Roy/Crawford combo.
Flight one low gross winners included Avis and Sherry McIvor; second Sue Moisey and Andrea Coates (82) and third Bev Stevens and Ann Renee Pettyjohn (93).
Flight two low gross winners were Lorna Maxwell and Fran Crawford (91), Ruth O’Bryan and Kathy Tencza (94) and third Mary Gris and Marie Berg (97).
Flight one low net winners were Foster and Wolbaum, second Marcia Marinas and Michelle Palm(66) and third Cathie McLaren and Becky Allen (73).
Flight two low net winners included Karen McGinnis and Gwen Acres (66), second Jackie Chapin and Corinne Scheldrup (66) and third Lois Cutler and Hilda Taylor (70).
Organizers were pleased with the weather was glorious, the golf course and the dinner.
“Much cheering and laughter was heard throughout the day,” a spokesperson said. “Once again the community was very generous in donating gifts and services for our raffle.”
