The finalists are set in the Nelson City Soccer League following semi final weekend at the Lakeside Pitch.

In the Leo’s Men’s Open, regular season champ Innkeepers had little trouble with the U18 Nelson Selects, posting a 4-0 victory.

The Innkeepers scored two quick goals midway through the first half en route to the win.

Mike Precious, tested a handful of times in the Innkeeper nets, registered the shutout.

The Innkeepers meet rival Kootenay Co-op in the final.

Co-op edged out Old Dogs FC 1-0 to advance.

Innkeepers and Co-op finished in a tie for top spot during the regular season. However, Innkeepers were handed the crown on a tiebreaker.

In the Finley’s Ladies Rec League, Dirty Dozen and Leo’s Titans advanced to the final by surviving narrow victories Sunday afternoon at Lakeside.

Dirty Dozen edged Red Dog 3-2 while the Titans outlasted the Wild Cats 2-1 in semi final action.

The two victors meet for all the marbles Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

In the Jackson’s Hole Men’s Masters League, two unlikely combatants meet in the final after Jackson’s Hole and Red Dog escaped with one-goal victories Sunday.
Jackson’s Hole, missing starting goalie Tad Lake, got a solid showing from back up Rob McRory en route to a 2-1 win over Ted Allen’s.

Meanwhile in the other semi final, Red Dog outlasted regular season champ Club Inter 5-4.

Red Dog and Jackson’s Hole meet in the league playoff final Sunday at 3:45 p.m. at Lakeside Pitch.
