It’s the second day of an incredible mix of local and international world-class snowboarders, skiers, paddlers, climbers, and environmental activists, coming together in Nelson at the Capitol Theatre.

Call it the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival Best of the Fest tour, this event is a fundraiser for the Nelson Food Cupboard so bring a donation to be entered into a draw for great prizes.

It includes local talent Benjamin Jordan and Ymir Dirty Beats

Friday night is dedicated to the international work of many local Nelsonites and a donation will be made to Kukua Pamoja and programs in the region around Nairobi, Kenya where Nelson’s Jamie Makena is right now working on vocational training, sexual health education, theatre, yoga, art, community building and nutrition programs.
