Brian Taylor back as Mayor in Grand Forks

Former Mayor Brian Taylor is back to lead Grand Forks for the next four years.

Taylor, who will replace incumbent Frank Konrad who did not seek re-election due to health reasons, defeated Everett Baker by 56 votes to win the municipal election Saturday. Taylor finished the race with 755 votes to 699 for Baker. Gary Smith was third with 94 votes.

Taylor, who captured 48.2 per cent of the vote is joined by incumbent councillors  incumbents Neil Krog (769) and Christine Thompson (622).

Also elected were Rod Zielinski (994), Chris Moslin (734), Zak Eburne-Stoodley (715) and Catherine Korolek (683).

Incumbent councilors Julia Bulter (554) and Chris Hammett (588) finished seventh and eighth in the voting.
