The L.V. Rogers Bombers won another BC High School Girls Volleyball Tournament.

The Bombers made it two straight tournament wins after edging out Fernie Falcons to clinch the Mount Sentinel Wildcats Volleyball Tournament Saturday at the South Slocan School.

LVR, opening the season with a first place showing at the South Okanagan Hornets Tournament in Oliver, defeated the Falcons 26-24, 26-24 to win the best-of-three final in straight games.

LVR finished third in the round robin draw after dropping games to Fernie and Selkirk of Kimberley.

Both matches LVR lost in straight games.

However, the Bombers bounced back in the playoff round, defeating Selkirk in three games — 15-5 in the deciding contest.

LVR then kept the momentum going by defeating the Falcons to claim the title.

The Bombers will face a huge test on the BC High School Sports Girls Volleyball scene this weekend when the team travels to Kelowna to compete in the Heat Tournament at the University of BC/Okanagan.
