Fight in Gold River puts man in hospital

A person was taken to hospital following a fight late Saturday (October 11) in Gold River.
RCMP in Gold River responded to a report of a fight in progress at the Garden Apartments.
Members arrived on scene almost immediately to find an unresponsive male on the ground who had been stabbed.
Police arrested two suspects attempting to flee the area and quickly discovered that one of the suspects had also been stabbed.
The unresponsive male was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he remains, while the injured suspect was treated and later released back into police custody.
All parties are known to police and alcohol is believed to be a factor. Police are treating this as an isolated incident and do not feel that there is at any heightened risk to the public at this time.
This matter remains before the courts at this time.
