The Nelson Midget Reps are holding a fundraiser Saturday at Jackson's Hole & Grill to help cut costs for the teams upcoming trip to the B.C. Hockey Midget Rep Tier III Championships March 19-24 at the Sun Bowl Arena in Osoyoos.

The Reps recently won the West Kootenay title.

The Beer and Burger fundraiser runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Vernon Street eatery.

The Nelson Figure Skating Club is busy working out the final quirks for the Wish Upon A Star, a Disney themed ice show.

The Kootenay Rhythm Dragons are rolling out the red carpet for new paddlers with a membership drive Saturday, March 10 at the Community First Health Co-op Building in Nelson.
