This Capitol Theatre’s Off-Site presentation of Vancouver’s Theatre for Living •X••AM••T (home) is on Thursday, February 22nd at 7:30 pm at the L.V. Rogers Secondary gymnasium.
There’s a conversation happening in Canada about Reconciliation in both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities across this country. It’s brought up many questions … where does reconciliation fit into the past and present?
Is it an outcome, a journey?
If we are sincere about thedesire for reconciliation, what kinds of shifts in perceptions and behaviours need to take place?
Theatre for Living’s upcoming play addresses the many issues of reconciliation. Created and performedby a mixed Indigenous and non-Indigenous cast and production team, •X••AM••T (home) weaves together stories based on real life and challenges us to make reconciliation real and honourable.
Theatre for Living’s niche is forum theatre: After seeing the play performed to a crisis point, theaudience is invited to participate when the play is run again. Audience members can stop the action by yelling “freeze” and offer possible solutions to a struggling character to move forward with.
It’s important to note that this participation is not required; it is just as interesting and rewarding to watch the actionunfold as it is to actively engage.

Tickets purchased online or over the phone can be picked up at the door upon arrival at the LV Rogers gymnasium. Please arrive early as latecomers will not be admitted.
