The Nelson Terry Fox Run is set to make an in-person return Sunday, September 18th, at the Rotary Lakeside Park.

The 2022 Nelson run is hosted by the Kootenay Rhythm Dragons.

The Kootenay Rhythm Dragons began paddling in 2004, in support of women with breast cancer and their families; this group, too, has experienced the loss of some members as a result of cancer.

The goal of the Society is to raise awareness of information about all cancers, and to empower and promote the health and well-being of everyone coping with cancer.

Runners, walkers, joggers or bikers can register online at https://run.terryfox.ca/nelson or in-person beginning at 8:30 a.m. near the flagpole at the park.

Speeches begin the event at 9:20 a.m. with the run starting at 9:30 a.m.

The route will be marked at .5 km distance intervals, so that, rain or shine, everyone, be they old or young, be they walking, running, biking, or rollerblading, can participate.

A cashless payment system will also be available through use of an IPhone or using VISA or Mastercard.
