The Ambassadors are at it again.

The West Kootenay Telus Community Ambassador, which consists of retired  B C Tel/Telus employees, volunteer their time to provide needs for the people in the West Kootenay.

Telus supplies the items & materials  that the Ambassadors put together and distribute for various causes.

Some of the projects include  baby  bags for newborns, Comfort kits, Senior Christmas bags  and backpacks filled with school supplies for students in need. The Ambassadors also deliver Meals on Wheels for the month of July each year as well as provide a $1000 scholarship to an LVR Graduate annually.

Once a year Telus sponsors a program called Telus Day of Giving.

The Ambassadors and present Telus employees pick a project to give their time to help in the community.

This year the West Kootenay branch spent their time filling the backpacks and volunteered their time to help the CNIB with their Night Steps fund raising walk on June 11.
