Steel Magnolias comes to Capitol Theatre

Black Productions is back with our fifth offering to the Kootenays! Robert Harling’s comedy-drama Steel Magnolias, will run May 25th-28th, 2017 at the Capitol Theatre in Nelson BC.
Steel Magnolias focuses on the camaraderie of six Southern women who talk, gossip, needle and harangue each other through the best of times- and comfort and repair one another through the worst. The play is alternately hilarious and touching with six female characters that are delicate as magnolias yet as strong as steel.
Steel Magnolias is directed by Heather Shippit and showcases a powerhouse cast featuring Lisel Forst (M’Lynn), Molly Strachan (Shelby), Pat Henman (Ousier), Patti Humphries (Clairee), Jenna Skidmore (Truvy) and Krista Lynch (Annelle). Costumes are designed by Kyla Hurst and sets are by Eric Galbraith.
