SEEDS Nelson would like to invite their community members and supporters to their annual general meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23rd in the basement of Kootenay Co-op Radio, 308 Hall Street.

SEEDS Nelson started in 2012 filling a need for intergenerational partnerships around food security. Sharing gardening knowhow between the young and elderly SEEDS encourages conversation and connection. At the height of their production they were donating 500+ pounds of produce to local organizations helping to feed the most vulnerable. SEEDS Nelson shared the city’s greenhouse at Lakeside park up until the spring of 2019.

Since then they have been working closely with the city planning department to coordinate the move of the Growmore (Greenhouse) that the city donated to the organization to the Seventh Street park location.

Come hear what the board has been up to for the past year. Get a greenhouse move update. Find out what the board of directors are looking forward to in the next few months.
