On Thursday April 23, people living in the Interior Health Authority region can have their COVID-19 related questions answered, through a virtual town hall presented by the Government of British Columbia.

“We know that providing regular information about COVID-19 is an important part of helping British Columbians stay safe,” said Nelson-Creston MLA Michelle Mungall.

“Our province was one of the first to provide daily public updates on the pandemic — this town hall will take things a step further by giving people the chance to learn more about what is happening in their region. The events will allow people to hear directly from health experts who are leading the COVID-19 response in Interior Health.”

The panel includes MLAs Katrine Conroy and Norm Letnick, along with Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Sue Pollock and CEO Susan Brown as they discuss COVID-19 in BC and answer questions from British Columbians.

MLAs will bring questions from the public for public health experts from Interior Health to answer during the hour-long event. The regional townhalls are non-partisan, and have been organized collaboratively by the BC NDP Government, the BC Liberals, and the BC Greens.
