Oxygen Art Centre and the “Nelson at its Best” initiative are calling on artists and the arts community to join in a “Community Conversation” about reducing poverty in Nelson.

The talk is scheduled for Wednesday (May 13) at 7 p.m. at Oxygen Art Centre – 320 Vernon St (back alley entrance), and be part of the solution to this pervasive, complex social issue.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

This conversation is part of the broader community initiative by thirteen diverse Nelson organizations whom have undertaken a multi-year process of working together to do something about reducing poverty in Nelson.

Envisioning “Nelson at its Best,” the organizations have started a community conversation about how to address poverty in our city, and are calling on community groups and individuals to come together to share their experiences, thoughts, ideas, feelings, and visions for a healthy, poverty-free Nelson.

Help make Nelson the best place it can be. Join the community conversation!  For more information visit: www.bestnelson.org
