This Friday, the new Canadian hit romcom I PROPOSE WE NEVER SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN AFTER TONIGHT starts its first week at the Civic Theatre in Nelson.

A funny, touching story of two lonely twenty-somethings who meet while pushing a stranger’s car out of the snow in deepest winter, this cross-cultural romcom rocketed into Canada’s top five Canadian films at the box office in its first week in theatres, and stayed there for three weeks.

It has played across Canada for extended runs in almost every major city, where the press has been uniformly effusive:

  • The Globe and Mail calls it “Delightfully romantic… a fun, big-hearted time”

  • The National Post gives it FOUR STARS, calling it “A gentle, sympathetic portrait of new love”

  • The Winnipeg Free Press declares it a “Rom Com done right!”

  • And the Brandon Sun calls it “Genuinely Adorable”

Now, after successful runs in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton, audiences in Nelson, starting Thursday at 7 p.m., will finally get a chance to see it in cinemas.
