More Starry Nights Astronomy Program at Taghum Hall

The month of July is filled excitement in the sky at the Taghum Starry Nights Astronomy Program.
The public is welcome to attend any one of the many events to as program coordinators will be taking families on trips through the cosmos, as well as teaching people how to build their own telescope at home.
Next event is scheduled for Friday (July 13th) as the Taghum Hall’s Starry Night Astronomy Program gets a few final good looks at Saturn.
On Sunday (July 15th) — one hour before sunrise, look low in the east for a conjunction of Jupiter, Venus and the crescent Moon. They will be joined by the red giant star Aldebaran, three degrees to the right of Venus.
On Friday (July 20th) — Taghum Hall’s Starry Night Astronomy Program.
The month of July concludes, Wednesday July 25th — conjunction of the bright star Spica, the Moon and Saturn in the western sky tonight.
Supported by Kootenay Association for Science & Technology, the initiative runs all summer long at the Taghum Community Hall.
