Mike Delamont’s God Is A Scottish Drag Queen returns to the Capitol Theatre stage with The Second Coming; an all new two act comedy of biblical proportions! God comes down toskewer everything from the 10 Commandments to the Platypus in an unforgettable sequel2,000 years in the making.

For this performance, a hit with both critics and audiences, Delamont dresses as a middle- aged auntie, dons a Scottish accent and tells outrageous jokes and stories. The effect is a mix of Dame Edna and Billy Connolly with a dollop of Eddie Izzard thrown in.

This man will make you laugh, and laugh and laugh, then you will laugh some more. Delamont, a brilliant standup comic, gleaned stage experience by performing over a decade with
Victoria’s Atomic Vaudeville — a sketch comedy troupe, during which time he developed his God Is a Scottish Drag Queen character with Atomic Vaudeville co-founder Jacob Richmond.

Since that time Delamont has expanded the show into a series of performances that have taken the world by storm: Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles. He has been nominated for 3
Canadian Comedy Awards, been featured on the Investor’s Group Comedy Tour, the Halifax Comedy Festival, CBC’s The Debaters and Just For Laugh’s.

God is a Scottish Drag Queen is one of those shows that will leave you laughing throughout the entire show or at the very least, smiling from ear to ear.
