Last month, Kootenay Lake School District students with visual impairments participated in Kootenay Adventure activities at Four Nations Coalition of Indigenous Medicines in Winlaw as well as the Cube Climbing Centre in Nelson.

Students, families and members of the community also attended a barbecue at Lakeside Rotary Park in Nelson.

Kootenay Project Adventure program would like to thank Four Nations and Cube for sponsors activities this year. Kootenay Project Adventure is sending a “Shout Out” to barbecue sponsors Columbia Basin Trust, Nelson & District Credit Union, Save-on Foods and Kootenay Co-op.

Kootenay Project Adventure program allows students with visual impairments from around the Kootenays and individual community members with vision loss to come together to participate in a range of activities.
