Kootenay Kids Society hosts Lemonade Stand Wednesday

Kootenay Kids Society will be back on Baker Street Wednesday (July 6) forĀ  the Kootenay Kids Lemonade Stand at the corner of Ward and Baker Streets in the Heritage City.

The Lemonade Stand Sale goes from between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. outside the Scotiabank Branch in Nelson.

Anyone looking to quench their thirst for social good while at the same time enjoying a refreshingly cool drinkand a tasty baked treat should definitely plan to stop at the stand.

All proceeds will be matched 100 percent by the Scotia Bank for programming in support of families with small children.

Some of the programs include prenatal and postnatal support, physio and occupational therapy, licensed childcare and subsidy assistance, toy lending and parent resource libraries, drop-in play groups, parenting classes, nutrition and cooking classes, food voucher programs, Aboriginal programs, and a variety of support groups for vulnerable parents.
