KAST (Kootenay Association for Science & Technology) is hosting a workshop — One Page Business Plan Workshop — Friday, January 23 at the Community Futures office in Nelson.

The cost of the workshop, instructed by Sue Bock of Bock & Associates, is $35 plus GST.

The workshop is designed to give the participants “an elevator pitch for your business plan.”

“A user-friendly business plan is the first step in establishing a rigorous road map for realizing your vision. The One Page Business Plan© enables easy communication of priorities, helping crystallize business goals and customer commitments in the simplest, most concise manner possible.”

Leaders refer to the tool as their “One Page Promise”: it forces clarity and accountability, and allows you to consistently check demands on your time against strategic priorities, keeping you on task, aligned to your vision, and helping operationalize your goals.

While it sounds simple, the framework is very powerful.

Participants will learn the philosophy and methodology; practice using the framework, and leave with a template to use moving forward.
