Investors Walk For Memories set for NDCC January 25

The Investors Walk For Memories is just around the corner.
Sunday, January 25, on the concourse at the NDCC Arena, many locals will be raising funds for the Alzheimer Society.
“You can register as a team or an indidual, and if you can’t make it that day, you can support someone who is registered,” said Julie Leffelaar Support & Education Coordinator for Alzheimer Society of B.C.
“There are not enough chances to come together and see how many of us are bravely striving to cope with this disease, and how many of us are walking with the caregivers and the people with dementia.”
Leffelaar said the Nelson fundraiser has participants walk around the concourse, have a few speakers, have musical talent perform, a terrific silent auction, food and fun.
There will be a table full of information for those who need to know about ASBC services and publications.
Registration for the Nelson Investors Walk For Memories begins at 10 a.m. with the walk set for 11 a.m.
