Kootenay Kiltie Pipe-band hosts the annual salute to Scotland’s most famous poet at the annual Rabbie Burns Night Saturday, January 26, in the Eagles Hall on Baker Street in Nelson.

The annual fundraiser boasts an evening of pipes, toasts, haggis and roast beef during a gathering to honour Scotland’s most famous poet.

The Kootenay Kiltie Pipe celebration beings at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $28 each for adults and $14 each for children under 10 and can be obtained by calling Heather at 250-825-9418.

Robert Burns Night is celebrated in Scotland and beyond on the anniversary of his birth (January 25th) which is known as Burns Night.

The celebrations take place around a highly ceremonial Burn’s Night Supper.
