First Annual Balfour Barkfest goes April 28th

The Balfour Recreation Commission is having a fundraiser topurchase equipment for our new program, Dog Agility. The event is taking place Saturday, April 28th at the Balfour Hall and will include a variety of fun activities.
There will be informationalseminars that range in topic from dog sports offered in our area to decoding dog food ingredients. We will also have a market selling some dog-themed items.
(Handmade dog beds from recycled clothing, felted dog figurines, dog treats, artisan collars, leashes, hand made animal t-shirts, mugs, dog toys, and more!)
Refreshments are also available. In addition, we will have a silent auction with some wonderful must-have items. A donation of $2 admission is greatly appreciated.
Outside the Hall, there will be on the sport services that include private lessons with a dog behaviorist expert, an opportunity to get a beautiful picture done of your dog by a professional photographer, and toenails clipped by a technician.
A portion of their earnings will be donated to our program. These events will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a dog agility demonstration by local handlers on the Balfour Sport Field at 2 p.m.
Dogs are notallowed in the Hall, but welcome outside. Please leash and keep under control.
