Film Screening of Pride

The film screening of the movie Pride is being hosted at the St. Saviour’s Pro-Cathedral in Nelson on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Pride is a the film that depicts a group of lesbian and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners’ strike in 1984 — at the outset of what would become the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign.
The film screening is just one of the many events scheduled in Nelson during Kootenay Pride week culminating with the Parade Sunday afternoon beginning at 3 p.m. on Baker Street.
