Taghum Hall continues to offer opportunities to bring people together in a safe manner this fall and winter — including two great events coming up.

In a timely opportunity to produce some beautiful Christmas cards or gifts, teacher, muralist, and scenic painter Margaret Stacey will lead “Brushes and Lunch” participants to create a number of art miniatures on Sunday, November 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This popular artist has taught at Nelson’s Learning in retirement and Rotary’s “Corks and Canvas” events, among others.

Instruction, lunch (vegetarian rice bowl, tea/coffee, and dessert), and painting supplies are included in the price, with a reduced cost for folks with their own painting supplies. Covid-19 protocols are in place, and pre-registration is required.

Also in the works is the Taghum Hall Country Christmas Faire on Saturday, December 12 from 10am to 3pm. Caroling, musical entertainment, hot chocolate and spiced apple cider, lots of craft vendors, and a Kids Only Market where kids can buy gifts for the family for ridiculously low prices (nothing more than $5) are all featured.

Santa Claus has promised to stop by for a visit.

This event will be largely held outside, with the Kid’s Only Market inside the hall (limited entry).

For more information and to register for Brushes and Lunch, and for vendors who wish to book a spot at the Country Christmas Faire, please email taghumhall@shaw.ca.
