The Red Fish are back.

The Kokanee Creek Nature Centre is inviting the public to participate in the special day Sunday (August 28) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to welcome the Kokanee Salmon home at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park.

There will be great music by Bessie Wapp, Rob Funk and Dawn Madu & Rylan Kewen.

The public is invited to tour the spawning channel with our naturalists, eat great food and take part in the kid’s activities.

The Nature Centre hosts local artisan work for sale including pottery, t-shirts, photographs, cards and paintings.

As Mel Reasoner, the Nature Centre Coordinator said “Come on out and visit the beautiful redfish – and bring your dancing shoes.”

Help celebrate the return of the Kokanee Salmon at Red Fish Fest on Sunday Aug 28.
