Casey Zeeman grand prize winner in Nelson Professional Firefighters Charity Raffle

Casey Zeeman of Balfour came away as the big winner in the Nelson Professional Firefighters Charity Raffle.

Nelson Mayor Deb Kozak pulled Zeeman’s ticket during the draw Saturday afternoon at the Nelson Fire Hall. Zeeman won the grand prize of a 2015 Polaris 400cc Sportsman ETX ATV ($6699 value) from Main Jet Motor Sports in Nelson.

Other winners included (in order of prize number below):

Gabriel Kobe of Balfour;  Kevin Mckernan of Nelson; Clint Carlson of Kaslo; Ileene Voykin of Castlegar and Julianna Arnett of Nelson.

The money raised by the fundraising efforts will be split equally between three local charities — Nelson Cares Society, the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund and Muscular Dystrophy Canada. 

Raffle tickets have been sold throughout the area with prizes made available by the generous local business listed:

1- From Main Jet Motor Sports: 2015 Polaris 400cc Sportsman ETX ATV ($6699 value)
2- From Valhalla Pure Outfitters: Gift certificate for $1000
3- From Sears: 50″ LED TV ($800 value)
4- From ROAM: Pungo Kayak and Expedition paddle ($850 value)
5- From Hume Hotel: 2 nights, with food & beverages, and an Aura Spa package ($700 value)
6- From Nelson Home Hardware: Boasch 18v Cordless drill/driver kit ($430 value)
