August is Member Drive Month at Kootenay Carshare

The month of August may be coming to a close, but there’s still time to take advantage of the member drive month at Kootenay Carshare.
For existing member of the carshare, refer a friend and get a $25 driving credit.
“If that friend stays for a year, both you and your referral get another $25 in driving credit, and the referral gets a free orientation! New members without a referral are also eligible for $25 in driving credit right away and a free orientation after a year,” said a Kootenay Carshare press release.
Kootenay Carshare was conceived in 2001 when a group of Nelsonites decided they each no longer needed a vehicle.
Sixteen years later, Kootenay Carshare now has over 200 members, both individual and business, and 5 branches located in Nelson, Kaslo, Kimberley, Revelstoke, and Rossland.
The Nelson branch now houses 12 vehicles in our fleet, with sizes ranging from economy, mid-size, and large.
“Our economy vehicles are perfect for getting around town, and our specialty vehicles, such as our trucks and wheelchair van, give you access to specific vehicles when you need it,” the media release said.
