The Nelson Amnesty group is standing up for human rights and inviting the community to join in Amnesty International’s annual Write for Rights campaign, a global letter-writing campaign around International Human Rights Day on December 10.
Letter Writing Dates:
- Saturday December 7 at Nelson Public Library 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Sunday December 8 at Oso Negro Café 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
It offers the public the opportunity to write on human rights issues and bring meaningful change to people and groups who need support to uphold their human rights— this year focusing on young people under the age of 25 are being violated and action is urgently needed.
