Rudy Benno was sitting in Queens Bay when he saw the Balfour Ferry struggle to get across Kootenay Lake during a recent storm that hammered the West Kootenay. â€” Rudy Benno photos

The Balfour, builts decades ago, is the backup vessel for the Kootenay Lake Ferry.

However, like it has done for many years, the Balfour always returns, this time under a rainbow.

Maybe someone it trying to tell the MOTI something as it considers moving the Balfour Ferry Terminal to Queens Bay North.
