 Iran announced earlier today that it plans to build ten new uranium enrichment plants. Iranian media reported that the Cabinet approved the construction of the plants just two days after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) censured Iran for its nuclear activities.

University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit(CRU) had the e-mail messages of its researchers hacked and published worldwide on November 21st. This can probably be a consequence of increased attention to CRU after it has played a substantial role in IPCC fourth accessment report (2007).

In two separate incidents police in Northern Ireland have come under attack. Both are believed by authorities to stem from organisations linked to the Irish Republican Army. The two incidents, one an attempted car bombing in Belfast, and the other a shooting in Garrison, County Fermanagh, led to four arrests by Northern Irish Police.
